Guidelines 

• Genre: Short fiction and creative essays.
• Word Count: 1,000 to 5,000 words.
• Submissions: Work must be original and unpublished, including on your own blog. Simultaneous submissions are permitted.
• Editorial Focus: Send us your best stories and essays, whether experimental, traditional, or something in between. We especially appreciate beautiful prose, compelling characters, tight plots, and stories with something at stake. Work with gratuitous profanity, stereotypes, or agendas will not be accepted.
• Payment: $250 upon publication, via PayPal.

We welcome and encourage submissions from emerging or established writers, local, national, or international. If your story is accepted, we ask only for  first-publication rights. You are free to include it in a later collection or anthology.
